A local operator, not a reseller

The Cape, on your terms

We are based in Cape Town and we guide here year-round, which means we know which day to save for Table Mountain, when Chapman's Peak is worth the detour, and which Franschhoek cellars are still pouring at four in the afternoon. Every tour below is chauffeur-driven with hotel pick-up, a licensed local guide, and the entry fees named up front.

Book a single day, string several together, or let us fold them into a full Cape Town holiday package with accommodation and airport transfers included. Nothing here is fixed — you tell us the dates and the pace, we build the week.

Planning your days

A sensible Cape Town order

DayTourWhy this order
Day 1Bo-Kaap & City Bowl walkGentle, walkable, jet-lag friendly — and it gives you the city's context before the landscapes.
Day 2Table Mountain (weather permitting)Kept flexible. We watch the wind and the cable-car status and move it inside your stay if needed.
Day 3Cape Peninsula & Cape PointA full day. Chapman's Peak, Cape Point, Boulders penguins — start early, finish at sunset.
Day 4Winelands: Stellenbosch or FranschhoekA slow, chauffeur-driven day so nobody has to nominate a driver.
Day 5Whale Coast & Hermanus (Jun–Nov)In season, this beats a second city day. Outside it, we swap in Cape Agulhas.
Questions

Cape Town tours, answered plainly

What is the best tour to do in Cape Town?

If you only do one, do the full-day Cape Peninsula tour — Chapman's Peak, Cape Point, Boulders penguin colony and Kirstenbosch in a single loop. Table Mountain is the second essential, and it is weather-dependent, so we keep it flexible in your itinerary rather than fixed to a day.

How much do Cape Town day tours cost?

Half-day guided tours start from around R950 per person and full-day Cape Peninsula or Winelands tours from around R1,650 per person, including chauffeur-driven transport, your guide and the entry fees listed. Private departures cost more per person than shared ones but move on your schedule.

Are your Cape Town tours private or group?

Both. Private tours run for you alone with a dedicated guide and vehicle — best for families, couples and travellers who want to change the plan mid-day. Small-group departures cap numbers so you are never on a fifty-seater coach.

Do Cape Town tours include hotel pick-up?

Yes. All our tours include pick-up and drop-off at your Cape Town hotel, guest house or Airbnb within the city bowl, Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs. Airport transfers are included in our multi-day packages.

How many days do I need for Cape Town tours?

Three full days covers Table Mountain, the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands. Four to five days adds Hermanus for whale watching in season, Cape Agulhas, or a slower city and Bo-Kaap cultural day.

When can I see whales on a Cape Town tour?

Southern right whales are reliably visible from Hermanus and Walker Bay between June and November, peaking in September and October. Outside that window we substitute the Whale Coast day for Cape Agulhas or a Franschhoek Winelands day.

What happens if the weather cancels a tour?

Table Mountain's cable car and sunset sails are the two weather-sensitive items. If either is closed on your day, we reschedule it within your stay where possible, or swap in an equivalent experience at no extra cost. Nothing is simply dropped.

Are you a licensed Cape Town tour operator?

Yes. SA Travelcations is a women-owned, Cape Town-based travel company working with licensed, registered local guides and vetted transport suppliers. Every booking is issued with a written quotation, confirmed itinerary and our published booking terms.
